David McRedmond, CEO of An Post recently sat down with Christina McCann from Green Fridays to talk about how An Post has achieved its impressive sustainability transformation. David shares insights into An Post's journey towards sustainability, the crucial role of biodiversity, collaborative labour relations, and overcoming infrastructure challenges.
An Post is not only ranked third globally in its sector for sustainability, but also continues to lead the way nationally. An Post is ahead of the pack with their net zero carbon emissions target for 2030, and David McRedmond confirmed that they are on track to achieve this goal.
Green Fridays is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to provide a guide and resource for people that wish to embark on living a greener life. Green Fridays is inspired by the lifetime of work carried out by inspirational individuals such as Greta Thunberg, Sir David Attenborough, Ernestine Leikeki, Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr OBE and countless other individuals who have played a huge role in striving for a greener and cleaner world. We hope to highlight key areas that require addressing in the world and show where you can make a difference, small or big, to this environmental effort.
